Well here is another baby season under way and here are some more of the babies that the rehabbers are getting in this year.

Many thanks to Nonda, the Squirrel Connection in Ohio, for sharing these photos of a black baby squirrel that she got in on March 17, 2002.

She received this baby when she was about 3 weeks old and her weight was 53 grams. She had been passed around for a week to different folks, had been on KMR, then the milk egg karo syrup formula and had terrible diarrhea from being on the incorrect formulas. She is now a little over 5 weeks of age and up to 104 grams.

Many thanks to Mary Anna Cook-Babcock, a wildlife rehabilitator in Arizona, for sharing these photos of these baby ducks.

She received the mallards (on the left) after receiving a frantic call from the security at a local mall in Tucson. The babies were wandering across a very busy street at the mall. Mom was no where to be seen.

The Chocolate Moscovies or they could be Canada Geese (on the right) were found on a ladies patio one morning, huddled together, looking very pathetic. It is suspected that someone dropped them off that did not want to care for them any longer as there are no ponds in the area.

The problem with baby ducks and birds is that sometimes it is hard to tell exactly what they are as some species look very similar to each other. We sometimes have to wait until they are a little older to tell exactly what they are.
